More than 350 Royal Canadian Legion members are in Nanaimo for the Legion’s B.C.-Yukon Command’s 55th convention this weekend.

Taking place until Sunday, June 5, the convention brings together delegates and observers from the 145 branches in the B.C. and Yukon establishing the direction of the organization “by bringing forth issues, opportunities and solutions,” noted a press release.

The convention, which began June 2, is taking place at Vancouver Island Conference Centre.

The non-profit organization supports veterans and ex-service personnel.
