Red serge ceremony honours Moncton victims

NANAIMO – RCMP to march in red serge today (June 10) to as part of Canada-wide memorials to officers slain in Moncton, N.B.

As many as 100 RCMP members will parade down Fitzwilliam Street to a memorial ceremony to be held in St. Paul's Anglican Church in downtown Nanaimo today (June 10).

The ceremony is in memory of the three RCMP officers slain in Moncton, N.B., by a gunman last week.

Monties will form up in front of Nanaimo RCMP detachment on Prideaux Street at 1 p.m.
