UPDATE: RCMP report missing Nanaimo teen has been found safe and sound

UPDATE: The Nanaimo RCMP have reported that the 15-year-old male youth who was reported missing Feb. 12 has been located safe and sound.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate 15-year-old Brandon Sheldon, who left his north Nanaimo home in the early evening Tuesday and has not returned.

Sheldon has a history of going missing for upwards of five days at a time, most recently on Friday, Feb. 12, when he left home and was not located until Monday.

Sheldon has significant medical issues and his caregivers are extremely worried for his safety and well-being.

Sheldon is 5-foot-11, 150 pounds. He has braces on his teeth and was last seen wearing a grey jacket, tan-coloured pants and white runners.

Investigators are following up on information that he may be in the Ladysmith area.

Anyone who has information on Sheldon’s whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quoting file # 2021-5790.
