Rae retains position as chairman of Nanaimo school district board

Elections were held for executive positions during Nanaimo school district's inaugural board meeting Thursday night.

Trustee Steve Rae was acclaimed as chairman of the board for a third year in a row and the same for Stephanie Higginson as vice-chairwoman.

Scott Kimler will once again head the business committee, acclaimed as chairman, and Jeff Solomon will once again be vice-chairman.

Higginson was acclaimed as chairwoman of the education committee and Natasha Bob was acclaimed as vice-chairwoman.

Bob was acclaimed as provincial councillor representative for the B.C. School Trustees Association and Tania Brzovic was acclaimed as her alternate.

The postings are held for one year.
