Property taxes coming due

NANAIMO – Close to 37,000 property tax notices were mailed to residents last week.

It's time to pay your taxes.

The City of Nanaimo mailed out nearly 37,000 property tax notices last week, which must be settled up before an early July deadline for residents to avoid penalties. The bills include a 2.5-per cent tax hike from the City of Nanaimo, as well as levies from the Nanaimo school district and Regional District of Nanaimo.

Taxes are due July 2 and can be paid through online banking, by mail or in person at the city's service and resource centre.
