Prisoner walks from work crew in Nanaimo

Nanaimo RCMP hope the public can help them find a Nanaimo Correctional Centre inmate who wandered off from a work detail Friday.

Ronald Sweezey was last seen shortly after 10 a.m. while working with a roadside maintenance crew on Biggs Road in north Nanaimo.

Sweezey, 53, is 5'8", 178 lbs with hazel eyes, brown hair with a receding hairline, a tattoo of a heart, star and flame on his right forearm, a tattoo of the word "love" with a heart on his right upper arm and a tattoo of a torch on his left forearm. He was last believed to be wearing an orange jumpsuit.
