A nasty pothole on Chemainus Road in Saltair caused a single vehicle collision late Tuesday night leaving one woman injured.
The accident occurred at 9:15 p.m. in the 10,000 block of Chemainus Road with Ladysmith RCMP, Chemainus Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance all responding.
RCMP said the southbound vehicle hit a pothole causing the 42-year-old male driver to lose control and drive into the ditch.
“There was extensive damage to the vehicle and a 53-year-old female passenger was transported via ambulance for an assessment of her injuries,” said Cpl Rick Fraser.
“Evidence at the scene corroborated the driver’s account and no charges are anticipated.”
