Police seek assistance locating missing Nanaimo man

The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help to find 26-year-old Russell Walkus.

Walkus left his south Nanaimo home Oct. 26 and family and friends have not seen or heard from hime since.

According to police, Walkus has been dealing with some personal issues and, as a result, his disappearance is troubling to his support network. He does not carry a cellphone and does not have access to a motor vehicle.

Walkus is a First Nations man, six-feet tall, 170 pounds, and has short black hair and brown eyes. When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, white shoes and a Chicago Blackhawks hat.
