Police respond to suspected shooting incident in Courtenay

RCMP have part of Salisbury Road one block west of Arden Elementary taped off to traffic

One person has been taken to hospital as Comox Valley RCMP are currently investigating what is believed to be a shooting in Courtenay.

An ambulance was seen leaving the area near 16th Street and Piercy Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday with two police cars nearby.

Additionally, RCMP have part of Salisbury Road one block west of Arden Elementary taped off to traffic.
