Police looking for suspect who allegedly snatched purse, stole lotto tickets

Police are asking the public to help identify a man who allegedly snatched a purse.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, the incident took place Aug. 2 at 3:15 p.m. while a woman was shopping at Fairway Market at Nanaimo North Town Centre. The suspect is also alleged to have stolen lottery tickets from the Shoppers Drug Mart at Country Club Mall on Aug. 6 at about 5 p.m.

The suspect in the purse-snatching and lotto ticket theft is described as Caucasian, standing 5-foot-10, between 40 and 50 years old with short hair that is greying on both sides.
