UPDATE: Woman who had been reported missing has been located ‘safe and sound’

UPDATE: RCMP report that the 32-year-old woman who had been reported missing has been located “safe and sound.”

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help to locate 32-year-old Stephanie Thomas.

Thomas was last seen on Monday, Nov. 15, and was reported missing to the Nanaimo RCMP Nov. 18.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, investigators were told that several days prior to Thomas being reported missing, she appeared to be acting strangely and there was concern that she may be experiencing a significant medical health issue. For this reason, her family is concerned for her safety and well-being.

Thomas is of no fixed address and does not carry a cell phone.

Investigators and Community Outreach workers have attended to the various emergency shelters and homeless encampments throughout Nanaimo with no success.

Thomas is Caucasian, 5-foot-7, 130 pounds with blonde hair, but is wearing it brown, and blue eyes. She has a tattoo on her forearm which reads PRETEND YOU’RE CAMPING.

No clothing description from the time she went missing is available.
