Plenty to do and learn at Green Solutions Trade Show

Green technology continues to evolve quickly and it pays to stay informed on the latest products and technology.

Nanaimo business owners and residents will have an opportunity to check out the latest products and learn the latest trends at the sixth annual Green Solutions Trade Show and Speaker Forum, hosted by Mid Island Co-op at the Beban Park Social Centre March 19-20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

This year, the free show has expanded to two days and covers double the floor space, with 60 booths already booked.

"Our goal with this event is to create greater awareness of sustainable options that we can all incorporate into our daily lives," said Karelyn Goodall, spokeswoman for Mid Island Co-op. "(It's an) opportunity to learn how you can do your part to create a cleaner, healthier environment by making changes to products and services you consume."

Several seminars have been scheduled for both days, covering topics from water conservation to green home design to how to deal with rising energy costs.
