The Nanaimo Economic Development Corporation awarded its Nanaimo and Region Economic Indicators Report to MNP LLP after what it called an open and thorough request for proposals process.
MNP was selected from a list of eight proponents.
The scope of the contract includes a series of economic indicators that provide detailed information on economic statistics, regional demographics, business activities, education and labour market information, transportation, construction, commercial and residential real estate. The report will also include census data and will provide context for historical data not previously completed.
The economic indicators report will ensure that Nanaimo will remain competitive in the global marketplace, and that the NEDC can provide accurate and current information for site selectors and local businesses alike.
The contract is valued at $45,000.
