Lisa Paton Cobb is devastated after her vehicle was broken into two weeks ago and a very special treasure was taken.

“My necklace containing my husband’s ashes, which I kept hanging on my rearview mirror, was stolen,” the Duncan resident said. “Unfortunately I haven’t found it, but someone out there has it; I just hope they don’t disrespect it.”

Cobb said she got matching necklaces for her and her son the first Christmas they had without her husband.

“I bought them for us, now mine is gone so that sucks,” she said.

Cobb posted the theft on her Facbeook page and the post has since been shared more than 475 times.

She’s also checked with the local pawn shops and has even called the police, too, but the necklace hasn’t turned up.

“I would like to get it back, although I know that is unlikely,” she said.
