Nanaimo-Ladysmith school trustees receive assignments for year

With students back in class across Nanaimo-Ladysmith school district, trustees have received assignments for the 2020-21 year.

Greg Keller is the trustee for Dover Bay Secondary, the international student education program and Seaview, Frank J. Ney, McGirr, Pleasant Valley, Randerson Ridge elementary schools.

Tania Brzovic is responsible for Wellington Secondary and Cilaire, Coal Tyee, Departure Bay, Rock City and Uplands Park elementary schools.

Elaine Wilkinson and Chantel O’Neill are assigned to a zone consisting of Nanaimo District Secondary and Brechin, Forest Park, Gabriola, École Hammond Bay, Fairview, Mountain View, École Pauline Haarer and École Quarterway elementary schools.

Bill Robinson will oversee Cedar Secondary and Cinnabar Valley and Cedar elementary schools, as well as the Island Connect Ed distance education program and the career technical centre.

Lisa Marie Barron will be the trustee for Qwam Qwum Stuwixwulh School.

Stephanie Higginson will be responsible for Ladysmith Secondary, Intermediate and Primary schools and École North Oyster Elementary.

Charlene McKay was not assigned schools as she has added responsibilities as school board chairperson.
