On Jan. 28, Megan Paquette told her family she was going to Colliery Dam Park, noted an RCMP press release. Paquette’s family reported her missing the next day after they had not spoken with her for 24 hours.

Police inquiries revealed that Paquette had been at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital between 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 29 and attempts to contact her by phone and social media have not been successful.

She is Indigenous, 5-foot-8, 141 pounds, with long brown hair and hazel eyes.

The RCMP and the missing woman’s family and friends are concerned for her well-being and are asking anyone who may have any information that may assist the police in locating her to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency number at 250-754-2345.
