UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP say that shortly after the press release was issued, information was received on the 40-year-old woman’s whereabouts and she was located. The investigation is concluded, said police.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a 40-year-old woman who called police while possibly in crisis and hasn’t been located since then.

RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating Sarah Duguay of Nanaimo, according to a press release.

On Monday morning, June 7, a woman who identified herself as Duguay placed a call to the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line, say police.

”The nature of the call left investigators with the sense that the caller may be experiencing a personal health crisis,” noted the press release.

Police started an investigation, but have been unable to locate Duguay. She has not been reported missing and police are attempting to locate her so they can check on her well-being.

Duguay is Caucasian, 5-foot-4, 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file No. 2021-20692.
