UPDATE: Nanaimo woman who had been missing has been located

UPDATE: The Nanaimo RCMP has reported that the 55-year-old Nanaimo woman who was reported missing on March 2 has been found safe.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help to find a woman who missed a medical appointment at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital this week.

Michelle Van Der Kemp, 55, was considered missing for three days last month, but was located.

“Her caregivers are aware of this, but nevertheless continue to support her through her struggles,” noted a Nanaimo RCMP press release.

Van Der Kemp is 5-foot-3 with a thin build, long brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file No. 2022-7236.
