Nanaimo police search for suspect in three gas station robberies

NANAIMO – Suspect from two robberies last week believed to be responsible for a third on Monday.

Nanaimo RCMP believe a white male suspected of robbing two gas stations last week is also behind an armed robbery at the Shell gas station on Bowen Road early Monday morning.

Just before 3 a.m. on Monday, a male suspect, described as about 5-foot-10 with a slender, athletic build, pulled out a large knife and demanded money from the cashier. He was last seen running northeast on Bowen Road. A police services dog team responded but was unable to locate the suspect.

The same man is suspected of robbing the Northfield Esso and Terminal Avenue 7-Eleven. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and a mask.
