Police are looking for Marlon Orozco-Castillo who has been missing since May 1.

Police are looking for a Nanaimo man who has been missing for nearly two weeks.

Marlon Orozco-Castillo has not been seen since May 1.

Police were contacted about his absence on May 4.

Orozco-Castillo was in the midst of dealing with some personal matters and had moved out, and his family was concerned.

"There was some initial thought that he had returned to Costa Rica, but it is now believed that he may still be in the area," said Cpl. Jon STUART, Nanaimo RCMP spokesman. "This investigation is still pursuing all avenues to determine his location."

Orozco-Castillo, is Hispanic, 40,  5-foot-6, 145 lbs, and was last seen wearing a red tank top and plaid jacket. He enjoys surfing, and might be drawn to areas frequented by surfers.
