UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP have reported the 23-year-old Nanaimo man reported missing in late November has been found safe and sound.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Medical staff are concerned after a young man missed an important appointment last month and Nanaimo police are asking for help in finding him.

In a press release, Nanaimo RCMP said the 23-year-old “missed an urgent medical appointment” late in November and health-care providers are worried about his safety and well-being.

He is of no fixed address, police said, and may be living in a tent in the Cedar area, said the press release. Nanaimo RCMP have checked numerous homeless encampments and emergency shelters, but it has not yielded any results.

The missing man stands 5-foot-9, weighs 165 pounds, and has brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency hotline at 250-754-2345, citing file No. 2022-41323.
