UPDATE: The 44-year-old man who had been reported missing has been located and is “safe and sound,” say RCMP.
PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help to try to locate a man who hasn’t been in touch with family since the summer and is now considered missing.
Jason Diraddo, 44, last contacted his mother in July, according to an RCMP press release.
Diraddo is of no fixed address and accesses emergency social services in Nanaimo.
“Officers have attended to the various homeless encampments and areas where marginalized individuals are known to gather but with no success or leads on where he may be,” noted the press release.
Diraddo is white, 5-foot-7, 150 pounds, and has a tattoo of a bulldog on his upper left arm.
Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file No. 2021-37752.
