Nanaimo-Ladysmith teachers’ union to host election forum at Beban Park

With municipal election general voting day just over two weeks away, Nanaimo-Ladysmith school trustee candidates will have a chance to make their views known this week.

The Nanaimo District Teachers’ Association will host an all-candidates’ town hall for prospective school board members Thursday, Oct. 6, from 7-9 p.m. at Beban Park social centre.

According to the union, the meeting will consist of a candidate panel with time for candidates to introduce themselves before taking moderated questions and questions from the audience.

There are 12 candidates running for nine trustee positions on Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools’ board.
