Nanaimo first responders clear up accident on Terminal Avenue

One taken to hospital following two-car collision near Terminal Park

Traffic lined up as first responders worked to clear an accident in the Terminal Park area of Nanaimo the afternoon of Saturday, Feb. 3.

Nanaimo firefighters, RCMP and ambulance crews were on scene at the motor vehicle incident, reported at 3:15 p.m Saturday, in a southbound lane of Terminal Avenue, across the street from a Fas Gas Plus service station. It involved a Honda CRV and a Dodge pickup truck.

According to Capt. Bryun Ashlie, of Nanaimo Fire Rescue, a person was taken to hospital after complaining about neck pain.

The cause of the accident is not yet known.
