Motorcyclist hurt in crash on Nanaimo’s East Wellington Road

Accident happened at Holland Road just before 4 p.m. Monday

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash in Nanaimo’s East Wellington area this afternoon.

The accident, which involved a motorcycle and a hatchback, happened at East Wellington Road and Holland Road just before 4 p.m. on Monday.

Emergency personnel at the scene said the motorcyclist’s injuries were non-life-threatening.

Nanaimo RCMP, B.C. Ambulance Service and Nanaimo Fire Rescue were at the scene. Motorists were asked to avoid the area if possible.
