Ministry of Education provides money for Cedar Elementary plumbing repairs

NANAIMO – The B.C. Ministry of Education will provide $240,000 for plumbing at Cedar Elementary School.

In a press release, Education Minister Mike Bernier announced that the money from the province's School Enhancement Program fund, will go toward upgrades to the school's plumbing lines and fixtures.

Projects that fall into the purview of School Enhancement Program include plumbing, boiler, heating and ventilation, roof repairs or replacement, windows, lighting and electrical system upgrades.

Projects were selected based on need, priority and how well they support student learning and safety, the ministry said.
