UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP say the 30-year-old has been found safe and sound.
PREVIOUSLY POSTED: A man experiencing homelessness, last seen living in a tent in Nanaimo’s Bowen Park, is considered missing.
Nanaimo RCMP issued a press release asking for the public’s help in locating Jonathan Jones, 30, who was reported missing by his family on Oct. 3.
“Investigators were told that Jones has not been heard from for over five weeks, which is out of character for him,” noted the release. “As a result, his family is concerned for his safety and well-being.”
RCMP have contacted emergency shelters and outreach teams but haven’t located Jones.
He is described as white, 5-foot-5, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file No. 2021-37187.
