Lantzville faces two-per cent tax increase

NANAIMO – Lantzville is one vote away from adoption of a five-year financial plan and tax rates bylaw.

Lantzville residents could see a two-per cent tax hike this year.

The district is one vote away from adoption of its five-year financial plan and tax rates bylaw, which will push civic property taxes up two per cent this year.

Lantzville council, which is now down to five members after two recent resignations, voted 4-1 for the five-year plan with Coun. John Coulson opposed. Coulson and Coun. Denise Haime were both opposed to the tax rates bylaw.
