A suspect or suspects managed to steal heavy equipment last weekend in Nanaimo.
According to Nanaimo RCMP, a log splitter was stolen from the front yard of a home construction site on Portsmouth Road sometime overnight Sept. 16-17. The thief or thieves cut the machine’s hydraulic lines and unbolted and stole the splitter. The DHT 22-ton log splitter has the serial No. 00019. According to the manufacturer, the DHT 22 model weighs 580 pounds.
