Chad Jobe, Rutherford Elementary Grade 7 teacher, gives advice to students on what to consider when preparing their trebuchet machine for catapulting.

Students got to incorporate physics, math, science and some trades training Friday as Grade 5, 6 and 7 students built and tested out trebuchets, catapult-like devices.

Once built, the students tested their machines, catapulting a golf ball onto the school field.
