An Alzheimer’s patient and the Alzheimer Society of B.C. are bringing Jim’s Push for a Plan to Nanaimo.
Jim Mann, one of 70,000 British Columbians with Alzheimer’s disease, will make a public presentation in Nanaimo Tuesday (April 23) as part of a provincewide campaign for a comprehensive, funded dementia plan.
The disease currently affects hundreds of thousands of Alzheimer’s patients’ family members who have stepped in as caregivers.
Mann, who was diagnosed with dementia in 2007 at age 58, will share his ideas and proposed solutions to avert a provincial health crisis at Beban Park Recreation Centre at 10 a.m.
