Former Woodlands principal pleads guilty to theft

NANAIMO – A former Woodlands Secondary School principal pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of theft $5,000 or under.

A former Woodlands Secondary School principal pleaded guilty in Nanaimo provincial court Monday to a charge of theft $5,000 or under.

David Mark Street, 55, was charged in May, with the charge stemming from an allegation of theft in an RCMP investigation.

Street subsequently tendered his resignation and received no severance from the school district. He will see his next day in court on Jan. 6.
