UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP say the 23-year-old who was missing has been located and is safe and sound.
PREVIOUSLY POSTED: After an extensive search has yielded no results so far, police in Nanaimo hope the public can help find a man who has been missing for nearly two weeks.
According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, the 23-year-old was last seen Monday, Aug. 15, with police launching an investigation that day. Investigators spoke to caregivers who said they are very concerned for the missing man’s physical and mental well-being.
He is described as 5-foot-7, 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
An extensive search of the surrounding area is ongoing, but has not yielded anything to date, said the press release.
If anyone has seen him, or knows of his whereabouts, they are asked to call Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, quoting file No. 2022-28352.
