The two men accused in a March 2016 drive-by shooting in Nanaimo saw the start of their B.C. Supreme Court trial delayed.
Armaan Singh Chandi, 18 at the time he was charged, and Inderpal Singh Aujla, 19 when charged, were arrested in relation to the incident that occurred on Wakesiah Avenue near Second Street, where shots were fired at a vehicle. A man in the car was not injured.
Chandi, who was being transferred to the courthouse in Nanaimo, was late arriving after an accident on the Trans Canada Highway delayed traffic. Paul Dutt, Aujla’s legal counsel, was delayed due to fog in Nanaimo’s harbour.

Richard Fowler will represent Chandi, while Nick Barber and Caroline Narraway are Crown counsel. Judge Robin Baird will be presiding.
