First Nations chiefs hold council in Nanaimo

NANAIMO – Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs hold quarterly meeting at Vancovuer Island Conference Centre.

The Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs is holding its quarterly council meeting in Nanaimo.

The meeting, at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre Wednesday and Thursday (May 29-30), will draw about 100 delegates representing First Nations from across the province.

The Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs works to provide a unified voice for First Nations and is dedicated to sharing information and fostering research skills for Aboriginal peoples.
