A home at 1348 Jester's Way, in Nanaimo's Departure Bay area, was heavily damaged Saturday afternoon landscaping caught fire and spread to the house and neighbouring properties, threatening other houses.
One person was displaced and the homeowner was insured. No one was injured and firefighters were able to prevent damage to neighbouring houses.
Nanaimo Fire Rescue did not provide information on the possible cause for the blaze.
