Federal NDP leader discusses plan to abolish Senate

NANAIMO – Tom Mulcair visits Harbour City Friday (Aug. 30).

Federal New Democratic Party leader Tom Mulcair will be in Nanaimo Friday (Aug. 30) morning to discuss his party’s plan to abolish the Senate.

This summer has seen senators face questions about expense account spending and documentation, leading to expulsion from caucus and retirement of some senators.

Mulcair, who is also leader of the Official Opposition in the House of Commons, meets with supporters at 8 a.m. at Mon Petit Choux Bakery on Commercial Street.
