District looking for more feedback on services

Nanaimo school officials want to hear what more parents think about the services available for special needs students.

Nanaimo school officials want to hear what more parents think about the services available for special needs students.

The district is collecting feedback on its school-based and district-level student support services through an online survey at www.sd68.bc.ca.

Donna Reimer, school district spokeswoman, said the district has extended the deadline for responses from Jan. 16 to Feb. 10 in an effort to reach more parents, as district officials received feedback that some parents were not aware of the survey.

Schools have been asked to send out a reminder to parents.

So far the district has received 289 responses.
