Nanaimo Mounties are asking for the public’s help to find the next of kin of a man whose ashes were found near Nanaimo River Road.
Donald Gordon Simpson’s ashes were found in a black metal box near the power lines May 20, but so far all attempts by police to locate Simpson’s relatives have failed.
According to a name plaque on the box Simpson was born in 1954 and died in 2004.
Anyone who has any information about Simpson’s relatives is asked to call Const. Burke Huschi at 250-754-2345.
