Crews putting out fire in a house on Wakesiah Avenue in Nanaimo

Nanaimo Fire Rescue was called out at noon Thursday

Crews are on scene putting out a fire inside a house on Wakesiah Avenue.

Nanaimo Fire Rescue was called out at noon to the fire and arrived to find smoke from a fire in a house in the 100 block of Wakesiah.

There were no reports of injuries. Emergency crews said no one was home at the time of the fire.

A section of Wakesiah Avenue is closed in both directions.
