A tow truck was seen leaving the scene with another vehicle in tow. Of the two vehicles that were still on-site at 9 a.m., one grey sedan had significant bumper damage and a white pickup truck did not appear to have any damage.

At least two RCMP vehicles were seen on-site as well.

Cst. Gary O’Brien, Media Relations Office for the Nanaimo RCMP, said it was “a minor fender-bender,” involving three vehicles and he confirmed no one was injured. As of yet, no charges are made against any parties involved. Traffic along the Island Highway near the Snaw-naw-as Market Shell is now clear.
