Nanaimo RCMP seized a crack pipe and a stolen bike from a man they say is “well-known” to police.

An officer on patrol in Nanaimo last Saturday, May 28, noted that a 37-year-old man who had had previous interactions with police had a “relatively new mountain bike,” according to a press release. After inquiring about the bike’s cost and where it was purchased, police determined the bike was stolen and seized it. Police also took away the man’s crack pipe and other drug paraphernalia.

The bike is described as a blue Norco Storm, with a sticker from Cranky’s bike store in Aldergrove. The business was contacted and a search of the Garage 529 database yielded no results. Anyone with information on the bike’s owner is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, quoting file No. 2022-17952.
