Conference gathers Young Professionals

NANAIMO – Young Professionals from across Vancouver Island are coming together in June.

Young Professionals from across Vancouver Island are coming together to prepare for the second annual Connect V.I. Conference this June.

These individuals are looking to get involved in ways that will shape the social, economic and cultural future of the Island in a responsible and purposeful way.

Over the next couple months, these inspired Young Professionals will be actively involved in different initiatives within the community. The Young Professionals are partaking in the ‘Our Voice. Our Vote’ provincial elections event at Miller’s Pub on Friday (May 10) from 5-7 p.m. and will be shuttling anyone interested in voting to the advanced polling station; the fifth annual Walk of the Nations on June 1; and advocating for rail transportation on Vancouver Island.

These initiatives engage in matters of civic responsibility, First Nations understanding and transportation – which are all streams for the conference in Nanaimo, June 14 -15. Please visit www.connectvi.me/.
