City of Nanaimo road paving running from March to May

NANAIMO – Drivers are asked to be mindful of road crews during paving.

Thanks to the mild winter, the City of Nanaimo will get the jump on asphalt paving and drivers are asked to be mindful of construction signs and road crews.

As part of the city's annual road rehabilitation program, work is expected to be done at Bowen Road, between Caspers Way and East Wellington Road; Pryde Avenue and Bush Street, between White Street and Townsite Road; Nanaimo Lakes Road, between Lincoln and Harewood Mines roads; Bruce Avenue between Fourth and Albion streets; Vancouver Avenue between Townsite Road and Cypress Street and finally, Young Road.

Drivers can expect traffic delays and sign boards and advance notice will be given to advise of exact dates for paving. Work is set to take place between March and May.

According to a press release from the city, the schedule will depend on weather and is subject to change.
