City of Nanaimo staff members will answer questions about work at Colliery Dam Park during an open-air meeting next week.
Tracy Samra, chief administrative officer, and city staff members will meet with the public Aug. 18 at Colliery Dam Park to answer questions and give an update on work.
The city has completed an auxiliary spillway at the park and in June, politicians approved a park improvements, including handrails on stairs and new picnic tables.
“Given the scope of work that has taken place near the lower dam over the last eight months, we wanted to connect with the community in the park to provide an update and answer questions,” said Samra, in a city press release.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. at the lower dam parking lot.
