The City of Nanaimo is asking residents to pay careful attention to a wide range of announcements being circulated by government authorities, news media and via social media concerning water level restrictions.
Most communities across Vancouver Island are currently observing water restrictions, but exact restriction levels might vary between communities in accordance with differences in local water supply.
Nanaimo residents are strongly encouraged to ensure the information they are hearing or reading is applicable to the City of Nanaimo only and is not related to a neighbouring community.
Nanaimo is currently under Level 2 water restrictions – twice per week watering.
