NANAIMO – Suspects facing charges, but police still looking for witnesses to Woodgrove Centre jewelry store robbery.

Charges have been laid against two men accused of the armed robbery of Michael Hills jewelry store in Woodgrove Centre.

Jonathon Grant Javier, 28, and Justin James Dodd, 27, have been charged for the robbery, which happened Thursday at 8:42 p.m.

Police also believe a man, described as white and elderly, might have been in the vicinity of the jewelry store and was taking pictures of the robbery while it occurred.

"Officers would like to speak with the person seen taking these pictures. This may assist with the investigation and potentially be a key piece of evidence", said Const. Gary O'Brien, Nanaimo RCMP spokesman in a press release.
