A Tilray-sponsored mobile cannabis clinic has hit a speed bump.
Unexpected issues in finalizing the build out of a new cannabis clinic trailer has delayed the launch of a tour aimed at providing Canadians with information about accessing medicinal pot.
Earlier this week, Tilray announced a “first-of-its-kind” road tour, which would see educators on site to answer people’s questions about medical marijuana, how it can be legally accessed and if the therapy is right for them. The tour was set to kick off on Monday (June 6) in the Harbour City and travel across B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario this summer, Tilray’s website shows.
A Tilray company representative said in an e-mail the final build out of a customized Airstream is taking longer than expected and the tour launch has been pushed back a few weeks. Tilray regrets the delay, but remains fully committed to the tour and providing Canadians with information on access to legal, safe and regulated medical cannabis, the representative stated.
The new launch date is not yet known.
