Brennan continues district leadership role

NANAIMO – School board leadership stays virtually the same for next year.

Nanaimo school board leadership will stay virtually the same for the next year.

At the inaugural board meeting Wednesday evening, Jamie Brennan was re-elected chairman and Dot Neary takes over from Sharon Welch as vice-chairwoman.

Neary will remain business committee chairwoman and Kim Howland will continue to head the education committee.

TerryLynn Saunders and Bill Robinson carry on representing Nanaimo on the B.C. School Trustees Association’s provincial council, with Saunders as the first representative and Robinson as the alternate representative.

The board holds elections for the leadership positions every year at this time.
