A new course at Dover Bay Secondary School might help to make the world a better place, one pupil at a time.
The Nanaimo school board gave unanimous approval last week for Dover to go ahead and offer Environmental Stewardship 11 in 2013-14.
“I think this is something a few of our trustees would like to take,” said Jamie Brennan, board chairman.
The course will consist of five units: introduction to environmental sustainability and stewardship; ecology and nature; the environment and society; contemporary environmental issues; and solutions and action.
